The 6th International Biocuration Conference will be held on April 7-10, 2013 at Churchill College, Cambridge, UK. This meeting will provide a forum for
biocurators and developers of biological databases to discuss their
work, promote collaboration and foster a sense of community in this very
active and growing area of research. Participants from academia,
government, and industry interested in the methods and tools employed in
curation of biological data are encouraged to attend. The
conference will include four plenary talks featuring established
scientists who have influenced the field of biocuration.The plenary
speakers are: Fiona Brinkman, Ewan Birney, Richard Cotton and Sir Rich
Roberts. HITS Research Associate Renate Kania is among the conference organisers. She is one of the founders of the International Society of Biocurators (ISB) and member of the ISB Executive Committee.
