HIWI Software and Linux Administration (m/f)

We, the „Molecular and Cellular Modeling“ Group
(http://www.h-its.org/mcm) at HITS (http://www.h-its.org) are looking for a student
(part time) to help with the following tasks:


Software Development and System Administration:
The student will work on one or more of the following:
– Compilation, testing and installation of software packages
– Installation and upgrade of Ubuntu – Linux operating systems
– Documentation (Wiki, HTML)
In addition, participation on software projects involve
– Development of webtools (java, python) for scientific software.
– Development of scientific software (C, Fortran)


Prerequisites:
Programming knowledge in java and/or python. Programming experience in C or
Fortran is preferred. Good Linux knowledge (Ubuntu).
Background knowledge in molecular simulation, biophysics or structural biology
desirable.

Worktimes:
20 – 40 h/month.
