{"id":46,"date":"2014-09-03T20:10:04","date_gmt":"2014-09-03T18:10:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.h-its.org\/de\/research\/sco\/"},"modified":"2023-04-11T14:24:00","modified_gmt":"2023-04-11T12:24:00","slug":"cme","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.h-its.org\/de\/forschung\/cme\/","title":{"rendered":"Computational Molecular Evolution (CME)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Die&nbsp; Gruppe &#8222;Computational Molecular Evolution&#8220; (CME) besch\u00e4ftigt sich mit Algorithmen, Hardware-Architekturen und dem Hochleistungsrechnen f\u00fcr die Bioinformatik.<br>Unsere Hauptforschungsgebiete sind:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Rechnerbasierte molekulare Stammbaumrekonstruktion<\/li><li>Analyse gro\u00dfer evolutionsbiologischer Datens\u00e4tze<\/li><li>Hochleistungsrechnen<\/li><li>Quantifizierung von Biodiversit\u00e4t<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Sekund\u00e4re Forschungsgebiete sind unter anderem:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Neue parallele Rechnerarchitekturen (FPGAs, GPUs, Xeon PHI)<\/li><li>Diskrete Algorithmen auf B\u00e4umen<\/li><li>Methoden der Populationsgenetik<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Im Folgenden beschreiben wir unsere\u00a0 Forschungsaktivit\u00e4ten. Unsere Forschung setzt an der Schnittstelle zwischen Informatik, Elektrotechnik, Biologie und Bioinformatik an. Unser Ziel ist es, Evolutionsbiologen neue Methoden, Algorithmen, Computerarchitekturen und frei zug\u00e4ngliche Werkzeuge f\u00fcr die Analyse molekularer Daten zur Verf\u00fcgung zu stellen. Unser grundlegendes Ziel ist es Forschung zu erm\u00f6glichen.\u00a0 Die Evolutionsbiologie versucht die evolution\u00e4ren Zusammenh\u00e4nge zwischen Spezies sowie die Eigenschaften von Populationen innerhalb einer Spezies zu berechnen. In der modernen Biologie ist die Evolution eine weithin akzeptierte Tatsache und kann heute anhand von DNA analysiert, beobachtet und verfolgt werden. Ein ber\u00fchmtes Zitat in diesem Zusammenhang stammt von Theodosius Dobzhansky: \u201eNichts in der Biologie ergibt Sinn, wenn es nicht im Licht der Evolution betrachtet wird\u201c.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Wir arbeiten intensiv mit der neugegr\u00fcndeten <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.biocomp.gr\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\">Biodiversity Computing Group <\/a> auf Kreta\/Griechenland zusammen, die von CME-Gruppenleiter <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.h-its.org\/de\/people\/prof-dr-alexandros-stamatakis\/\" target=\"_blank\">Alexandros Stamatakis<\/a> im Rahmen eines <a href=\"https:\/\/www.h-its.org\/de\/2022\/11\/10\/era-chair-stamatakis\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ERA Chair der Europ\u00e4ischen Kommission<\/a> geleitet wird.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Die CME Gruppe besch\u00e4ftigt sich mit Algorithmen, Hardware-Architekturen und dem Hochleistungsrechnen f\u00fcr die Bioinformatik.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":40636,"parent":4,"menu_order":2,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","template":"page-templates\/group.php","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"inline_featured_image":false,"footnotes":""},"hits-research-group":[1282],"class_list":["post-46","page","type-page","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","hits-research-group-cme-de"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.2 -
