Heidelberg Institute for Theoretical Studies (HITS), represented by its Molecular and Cellular Modeling Group (MCM)<\/a>, led by Professor Rebecca Wade<\/a>, has joined CompBioMed as an Associate Partner.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

CompBioMed<\/strong> is a user-driven Centre of Excellence in Computational Biomedicine, to nurture and promote the uptake and exploitation of high performance computing within the biomedical modelling community. The user communities come from academia, industry and clinical practice. The project will run for three years from 1st<\/sup> October 2016.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The project will support and facilitate modelling and simulation activities, and provide education and training for a diverse set of communities. It will target research scientists from physical, computer and biomedical sciences, software and infrastructure developers, from industry, and medical end users, including clinicians.  It will therefore invest in community building to spread knowledge, tools and best practice to students and researchers across this domain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
