{"id":15712,"date":"2017-06-05T16:55:46","date_gmt":"2017-06-05T14:55:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.h-its.org\/?p=15712"},"modified":"2019-09-24T11:40:21","modified_gmt":"2019-09-24T09:40:21","slug":"workshop-at-ect-trento","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.h-its.org\/de\/2017\/06\/05\/workshop-at-ect-trento\/","title":{"rendered":"PSO group supports workshop at the European Centre for Theoretical Studies (ECT*), Trento, Italy"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The PSO group at HITS supports the workshop <a href=\"https:\/\/sites.google.com\/site\/eosworkshop2017ect\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">&#8222;Bridging nuclear and gravitational physics: the dense matter equation of state&#8220;<\/a>, which is hold at the European Centre for Theoretical Studies in Nuclear Physics and Related Areas (ECT*), Trento, Italy, from 5-9 June, 2017. After the revolutionary detection of gravitational waves from black-hole mergers, the community awaits the first measurement of neutron-star mergers. These events are of great interest for nuclear physics, since the detailed dynamics can teach us about the fundamental interactions and fundamental constituents of matter at very high density, which is only partially known.
