Ihre Hauptenergiequelle ist ein supermassives Schwarzes Loch im Zentrum. Der Beitrag des Sternenlichts der Galaxie kann jedoch zwischen 20 und 80 % der Gesamtleuchtkraft des Quasars ausmachen. F\u00fcr die physikalische Untersuchungder nuklearen Umgebung des Schwarzen Lochs muss daher das Sternenlicht der Galaxie von der Gesamthelligkeit in der Berechnung getrennt werden. Die optimierte Sch\u00e4tzung der Helligkeit ist wichtig, um Quasare als verl\u00e4ssliche Referenzpunkte in der kosmologischen Entfernungsbestimmung einsetzen zu k\u00f6nnen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Forscher*innen am HITS haben daher die Software PFVG (<strong>P<\/strong>robabilistic <strong>F<\/strong>lux <strong>V<\/strong>ariation <strong>G<\/strong>radien) entwickelt, um den Lichtbeitrag des Galaxiekerns in Bezug auf die Galaxie anhand von Zeitreihen zu isolieren, die bei verschiedenen Wellenl\u00e4ngen beobachtet wurden. Der neue probabilistische Ansatz ist in der Lage, die Emission der Galaxien mit einer Genauigkeit von 1 % zu bestimmen. Dies liefert zuverl\u00e4ssige Sch\u00e4tzungen der reinen Kernleuchtkraft, die notwendig ist, um theoretische Modelle von Quasar-Akkretionsscheiben, Breitstreifenregionen und Staubtorusstrukturen zu untersuchen. Die Methode ist besonders n\u00fctzlich f\u00fcr kommende gro\u00dfe photometrische Durchmusterungsteleskope wie das optische und nahinfrarote Legacy Survey of Space and Time (LSST) am Vera C.
