Sie b\u00fcndeln dabei ihre Expertise in Computersimulationen auf mehreren Skalen und auf dem Gebiet des maschinellen Lernens. Diese haben die moderne Wissenschaft und Technologie revolutioniert. Die Wissenschaft kommt jedoch an ihre Grenzen, wenn sie die unendlich komplexen und variablen Strukturen und Eigenschaften molekularer Systeme auf unterschiedlichen Skalen, also vom Nano- bis zu Mikrometerbereich, &nbsp;abbilden, erforschen und analysieren will. Hier bieten datengesteuerte und maschinelle Lernmethoden einen vielversprechenden Ansatz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Deshalb haben das Heidelberger Institut f\u00fcr Theoretische Studien (HITS), die Universit\u00e4t Heidelberg und das Karlsruher Institut f\u00fcr Technologie (KIT) die Kooperation<a href=\"https:\/\/www.h-its.org\/de\/forschung\/simplaix\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"> \u201eSIMPLAIX\u201c<\/a> ins Leben gerufen. In weiteren Projekten geht es um die Anwendung maschinellen Lernens f\u00fcr unterst\u00fctzte organische Elektronikmaterialien, die Beschleunigung klassischer Simulationen oder quantenchemische Berechnungen durch maschinelles Lernen und die Erstellung von Prognosen, an welchen Stellen anorganische und organische Materialien unter Krafteinwirkung rei\u00dfen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>SIMPLAIX wird von den HITS-Forscherinnen Rebecca Wade und Frauke Gr\u00e4ter koordiniert. Das Projekt wird von der Klaus Tschira Stiftung erm\u00f6glicht und von den drei beteiligten Institutionen unterst\u00fctzt. Im Laufe der Initiative werden acht junge Forschende f\u00fcr die Projekte eingestellt. Einige Stellen sind bereits besetzt. Die offizielle SIMPLAIX-Er\u00f6ffnungsveranstaltung findet am 12.
