Sana.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Am Anfang stand ein \u201eESO Large Programme\u201c: Der <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.roe.ac.uk\/~cje\/tarantula\/\" target=\"_blank\">VLT-FLAMES Tarantula Survey (VFTS) <\/a> begann vor fast f\u00fcnfzehn Jahren unter der Leitung von Chris Evans (damals Edinburgh, UK), massereiche Sterne im sogenannten \u201eTarantel Nebel\u201c (Tarantula nebula oder 30 Doradus) zu kartieren \u2013 mit gro\u00dfem Erfolg. Nachdem alle Beobachtungsdaten ausgewertet waren und der <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"\/doi.eso.org\/10.18727\/0722-6691\/5207)\" target=\"_blank\">Abschlussbericht<\/a> erschien, &nbsp;entschlossen sich die Beteiligten, auch weiterhin zusammenzuarbeiten. Sie \u00fcbernahmen den Titel des ESO-Programms unter dem K\u00fcrzel \u201cVFTS\u201c.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nach zwei Online-Workshops fand vom 20. bis 22. Juni 2022 das erste Treffen in Pr\u00e4senz im <a href=\"https:\/\/www.studio-villa-bosch.de\/?lang=de\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Studio Villa Bosch in Heidelberg<\/a> statt, das HITS-Gruppenleiter Fabian Schneider koordinierte und organisierte. Aus sieben L\u00e4ndern kamen beobachtende Astronom*innen, Wissenschaftler*innen, die die Daten auswerten, und Modellierer*innen zusammen. Sie waren unter anderem vom Armagh Observatory in Nordirland, dem Astrophysikalischen Institut der Kanarischen Inseln, dem Max- Planck-Institut f\u00fcr Astrophysik in Garching oder der Universit\u00e4t Amsterdam (Niederlande) angereist. Die Veranstaltung war in einem offenen Format angelegt, in dem der aktuelle Forschungsstand analysiert und neue Entwicklungen angesto\u00dfen werden. Das Meeting dient auch als Plattform f\u00fcr den wissenschaftlichen Nachwuchs.
