The \u201cMath colloquium\u201d is a special event in honor of former HITS group leader and alumna Anna Wienhard<\/a> (Groups and Geometry group), who took up her new position as Director of the Max Planck Institute for Mathematics in the Sciences in November 2022.<\/p>\n

The distinguished speakers at the colloquium are:<\/p>\n

\n„Geometry from the Inside“ <\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

Richard Schwartz<\/strong><\/a>,<\/strong> Brown University, Rhode Island\/USA
\n„Divide and Conquer:\u00a0 5 Point Energy Minimization“ <\/strong><\/a>
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

After the talks and discussion,\u00a0 Anna Wienhard will be awarded HITS Fellow by HITS Scientific Director Tilmann Gneiting.<\/p>\n

A shuttle service<\/strong> will run between S-Bahnhof Altstadt and HITS, departure times are:<\/p>\n

10:15 from S-Bahnhof Altstadt to HITS<\/strong>
\n13:30 from HITS to S-Bahnhof Altstadt<\/strong><\/p>\n

The shuttle will leave from the same bus stop as the Science Bus.<\/p>\n
