PhD student in the Molecular and Cellular Modeling group at HITS and Heidelberg University. Research on the computational development and characterization of peptide-based therapeutics for cardiac disease.
Visiting PhD student in Chandra Vermaâs lab at the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR), Singapore. Research on molecular simulations and peptide analogue design.
MSc in Medical Biotechnologies, University of Siena, Italy. Thesis on the analysis of molecular dynamics trajectories of the hERG ion channel using artificial neural networks. Graduated with honours.
BSc in Biotechnology, University of Siena, Italy. Thesis on the use of the antimicrobial peptide SET-M33 for the removal of bacteria from biological fluids. Graduated with honours.
Recipient of a DAAD research grant for doctoral students.
Peptide therapeutics, computational drug design, peptideâmembrane interactions, molecular simulations, and machine learning for molecular modeling. Particular biological interests include cardiovascular and skeletal muscle function and disease, as well as metabolic disorders. I am also strongly interested in scientific programming, with a particular enthusiasm for programming languages and exploring new languages and programming paradigms.
